DAY 1:
Kutaisi - Ambrolauri

08:00 – Depart from Kutaisi. 

09:00 – Visit a family producer of traditional Georgian sweets and get some delightful pre-/hike snacks.

12:30 – Scenic stop at Kinchkha Waterfall, one of the tallest waterfall in Georgia.

10:25 – Enjoy a 2-3 hour pleasant walk in Okatse Canyon*, through Dadiani Forest to the suspension walkway and platform over the gorge offering breathtaking views.

* Can be challenging for those afraid of height. Entrance restriction: 1.2m tall or above. For the safety of visitors, it might be temporarily closed due to the rain.

14:15 – Enjoy Imeretian/Abkhaz family lunch.

15:15 – Discover the abandoned sanatoriums of Soviet times behind overgrown foliage in the flagship historic spa town.

18:30 – Savor Rachuli wine with regional delicacy at a family-run winery in the village of Sadmeli.

19:15-19:30 – Drop-off in Sadmeli/Ambrolauri.

DAY 2:
Ambrolauri - Tbilisi

07:45 – Depart from Ambrolauri.

08:15 – Appreciate the exquisite frescoes and unique relief in the Caucasus region at Nikortsminda Cathedral.

08:40 – Scenic stop at Shaori Reservoir, before winding down the Nakerala Pass.

10:30 – Learn about kvevri-making (huge vessel for traditional wine fermentation) in the region known for pottery craft.

11:45 – Stop by to taste Nazuki bread, a regional roadside specialty, fresh out from tone (traditional Georgian clay oven).

13:00 – Explore the ancient, bustling cave city of Uplistsikhe.

15:00 – Enjoy Samachablo family lunch. 

17:30 – Visit Jvari Monastery on a rocky mountaintop overlooking the former capital Mtskheta.

18:30-20:00 – Visit the Chronicle of Georgia before drop-off in Tbilisi.

DAY 3: Tbilisi

DAY 4:
Tbilisi - Kazbegi - Pankisi Gorge

07:30 – Depart from Tbilisi. Early start to avoid traffic.

08:30-09:00 – Scenic stop at Zhinvali Lake and the confluence of the White and Black Aragvi rivers.

10:15 – Take in the sweeping views and Soviet-style mosaics at Gudauri Friendship Monument.

11:30 – Ascend to Gergeti Trinity Church perched on a hill surrounded with spectacular views of Caucasus Mountains and Mount Kazbek.

12:15 – Enjoy family lunch and have fun learning to make your own Khinkali from the expert.

14:15-14:30 – Drop-off/pick-up (optional stopover) at Kazbegi bus station.

08:10 – Tour around Kist villages in Pankisi Gorge and learn about their heritage and traditions.

11:30 – Winery tour and wine tasting at a unique cellar against the peaceful and gorgegous backdrop of the Caucasus Mountains.

12:15 – Explore the magnificent Nekresi Monastery nestled in the hillside of the woodland with sweeping views of the Alazani Valley.

13:45 – Enjoy Kakhetian family lunch at a traditional winery house.

16:15 – Walk on the city wall and stroll in the picturesque Sighnaghi.

19:00 – Drop-off in Tbilisi.

DAY 6: Tbilisi

DAY 7:
Tbilisi - Vardzia

07:30 – Depart from Tbilisi. Early start to avoid traffic.

10:30 – Scenic stop at the serene Paravani Lake. Have a chance to shop for a variety of special cheese and desserts made by the nuns at Poka Monastery.

12:15 – Visit the iconic Doukhobors community house and learn about the multi-ethnic/religious history of the village.

14:00 – Enjoy Meskhetian family lunch. 

15:30 – Explore the famous rock-hewn complex of Vardzia.

19:00 – Drop-off at your selected location in Vardzia (or along the Vardzia-Khertvisi Stretch). Enjoy a nice evening in the tranquil Mtkvari River valley.

DAY 8:
Vardzia - Batumi

08:00 – Depart from Vardzia.

09:15 – Visit a village cheese-maker to see how a Meskhetian cheese is made with unique traditional technique.

12:30 – Scenic stop along the ride through Adigeni and Goderdzi Pass.

14:00 – Enjoy Adjaran family lunch.

15:00 – Explore Khulo and thrilled at an authentic Soviet cable car ride (used by locals for commuting) up across the river gorge to Tago.

17:15 – Refreshing stop at Makhuntseti Bridge and Waterfall.

18:30-19:00 – Drop-off in Batumi.
