Terms and Conditions
The following points make up all of the terms of contract between Karavanly (“we” or “us”) and the customer (“passenger” or “you”). By purchasing and/or using Karavanly travel pass, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions stated below.
Prices: All prices are in USD and are inclusive of 18% VAT.
Pass Validity: Karavanly passes are valid for travel in one direction for the route stated on the pass. Your journey along the route must start within 12 months of pass purchase. Travel passes are valid for the entire season of the same year as the first day of travel or until you have traveled once on all the legs of the pass, whichever occurs first.
Proof of Identification: Karavanly passes are only valid for the person whose name was provided in the reservation process of the travel pass, and are non-transferrable (exceptions can be made under special circumstances at our own discretion.) Passengers are required to provide his/her valid passport or photo id as proof of identification upon request.
Children: Karavanly travel products are not suited to children under 7 years old. Minors must travel with a parent or legal guardian. There must be at least 1 parent or legal guardian for every 2 minors on board. Failure to provide proof of identification and age upon request may invalidate your Travel Pass.
Reservations: Karavanly passes and services are subject to mandatory reservation, which should be made at least 3 days before departure to ensure a seat on your desired route for your preferred date. Any changes to reservations must be made at least 24 hours prior to departure. On confirming your pass reservation with payment in full and/or updating any changes to your itinerary through our online system, you are responsible for verifying the accuracy of your reservation details, selected routes, travel dates, optional hop-off locations, and selected pickup locations.
No Show: It is your responsibility to be at the selected pickup point at the scheduled time. Failure to meet a reserved departure will result in cancellation of your rides on that travel day and render your pass invalid. A no-show penalty of USD70 will be charged in order to reschedule the missed departure and any subsequent bookings.
Last Minute and After-Departure Changes: Should you run into an emergency or some unforeseeable issues and thus fail to give at least 24 hours’ notice of any changes to your itinerary and/or meet a confirmed departure, no-show penalty could be waived and other accommodation could be arranged (e.g. extension of the pass validity, pass transfer to a friend, or re-travel on part of the trip) at our discretion upon receiving relevant proof and/or supporting document.
Cancellations: Cancellation fees will apply to cover relevant operational costs incurred in your purchase and refund –
- more than 90 days before departure: 20% of the ticket price
- 30-90 days before departure: 50% of the ticket price
- less than 30 days before departure, or after departure: 100% charge (i.e. no refund) of the ticket price
Changing the Travel Dates: Any changes to reservations must be made at least 24 hours prior to departure. While we will accommodate your request the best we can, we reserve the right to charge a fee of USD70 for any last minute change (with less than 24 hours’ notice) or no-show/missed departure.
Changing to Another Pass: If you are upgrading to a pass with higher value, you will be required to pay the price difference. If you are downgrading to a lower-value pass with more than 30 days before you start your trip, you will received credits amount to the price difference for future purchase of our product within 12 months. No rebate will be made available for pass downgrades within 30 days before the start date of the original pass.
Itinerary Changes: Karavanly reserves the right to vary any fares, routes, optional stopovers, overnight stops, departure dates, times and locations, activities, inclusions and transport modes at its discretion without notice. If Karavanly cancels a departure or part of a ride, the customer will be offered an alternative option or alternative travel date. If the alternative does not suit the passenger, a full or partial refund will be made available. If access to any scheduled location in a trip is blocked due to an external event beyond our control (extreme weather, natural disaster, political unrest etc.), Karavanly will modify the route and try its best to provide an equally enjoyable experience, or if necessary partially or fully cancel the itinerary. If an entire departure is canceled due to any of such unpredictable events, an alternative date will be offered otherwise standard cancellation fees apply.
Service Delivery: Karavanly is committed to adhere to published or stated departure, arrival and general times. However, given the nature of our product and the environment we operate in, external and unpredictable events may occasionally prevent us from meeting those scheduled times. Karavanly shall not be held responsible for any failure to meet those scheduled times or for any cancellation or delay of Karavanly services. Neither shall Karavanly be liable for any loss of accommodation and/or activity reservations or any other indirect or consequential loss, arising directly or indirectly out of a cancellation or abandonment of, or delay to, any trip, however caused.
Carriage: Karavanly reserves the right to refuse to carry any passenger, luggage, goods or animals at its discretion.
Baggage: Luggage allowance is limited to one backpack, bag or suitcase per person with a maximum weight of 20kg. You are advised to keep all valuables, electronics, money, medication, important documents and anything you will need to access throughout the day with you or in your carry-on daypack. Please do not pack fragile items in your checked baggage and make sure all your belongings are packed properly and if necessary, in hard-shell cases or leak-roof containers. While we will make every endeavor to ensure your baggage is handled with care, Karavanly assumes no responsibility for any damage to, or loss of any property or personal effects under any circumstances during your journey with us. It is recommended that you take out travel insurance that covers loss of, or damage to luggage and personal effects.
Behavior: By traveling with Karavanly you agree to comply with the laws and regulations of the country of visit and accept the authority and decisions of our crew. Our crew and passengers are entitled to a safe environment and enjoyable journey along the routes Karavanly run. Any threats, physical or verbal, to safety of oneself and/or of others, or inappropriate and/or disturbing behaviors will remove one’s right to continue the ride with us. Passengers who are required by our crew to leave the trip will not be eligible for any refund and will be responsible for their own travel cost from that point.
Dress Code: Passengers should wear proper clothes and shoes for the scheduled visits and activities of the day. Please make sure that you are aware of the gender-specific church dress code. Karavanly will not be responsible for refused admission or any extra cost incurred due to non-compliance with such requirement.
Illegal Act: Passengers who possess illegal drugs or involve in illegal activities while traveling with Karavanly will be removed from the trip without refund. Karavanly shall not be held responsible for the passengers’ illegal act nor any resulting consequences (arrest, punishment, accidents and/or death, etc.)
Activities: Karavanly assumes no responsibility for any activities that passengers decide to participate, whether with Karavanly, other operators or independently on their own, by their choice. It is your sole responsibility to determine if you are qualified and/or capable of participating in any activity, and you choose to participate at your own discretion.
Passport and Visas: It is the passengers’ responsibility to carry a valid passport and appropriate visas (and any other required documents) while travelling with Karavanly. Passengers who use our visa support service will be eligible a full refund for their travel pass purchase if their visa application is rejected by the authority. However, it is at the discretion of a country’s immigration to grant entry to visitors at the border, as such under no circumstances will we take any responsibility for refused entry to a country. No refund will be made available if passengers are refused entry at the border of a country.
Health and Fitness: Passengers must inform Karavanly of any medical and/or physical condition, including any kind of allergy and/or intolerance, they suffer from. It is your sole responsibility to determine whether you are fit enough to participate in any activity and visit on a particular day and/or to continue your ride with us at your own discretion.
Sickness and Injury: While all care will be taken, Karavanly shall not be liable for any sickness of, injury to, or death of any passenger, whether caused by Karavanly’s negligence or otherwise. Karavanly strongly recommends taking out travel insurance to cover any medical expenses you may need during your travel.
Covid-related Responsibilities: i) Passengers agree to comply with all applicable government guidelines to help contain Covid-19 spread, as well as relevant reminder and instructions by Karavanly’s crew, at all times during their trip with us (including their free time while on the trip); ii) You confirm that you do not have any health conditions that would keep you from following any Covid-related precautionary measures (including but not limited to wearing face masks) at all times during the trip; iii) Despite all the cautious steps taken, Karavanly shall not guarantee that your trip and activities with us will be 100% Covid risk-free. You have weighed the risks and benefits involved and decided to join at your own discretion. Karavanly strongly discourages anyone with underlying health conditions from participating; iv) Should Passengers feel unwell during the trip or within 14 days after the end of the trip, they shall notify Karavanly and seek appropriate medical attention as soon as possible.
Travel Insurance: According to Georgian legislation, inbound travelers should have travel and health insurance policy valid throughout the territory of Georgia for their entire period of stay in the country. Those without travel insurance may risk refused entry to the country at their sole responsibility.
We strongly recommend taking out personal travel insurance that best suits your needs (medical expenses, loss of or damage to luggage and personal effects, delays, cancellations, curtailment, adventure sports, etc.) whenever you travel.
Third-Party Operator Services: While every effort is made to ensure that partner operators meet the requirement and quality standard in their delivery of services, Karavanly shall not be responsible for any default or negligence of those operators. However, we will assist the best we can in seeking a reasonable resolution should partner operators fail to deliver.
Third Party Claims: Passengers agree to compensate Karavanly for any loss, damage or expense suffered or incurred by Karavanly, its directors, officers, employees, agents and related companies as a result of any claims by a third party relating to or arising from the passengers’ use of their travel pass or their acts or omissions while using any Karavanly services.
Disputes: Should you wish to raise any issue with your trip, please advise our crew on board or speak to our operation staff by calling or texting to +995 551 136668 to enable a timely response. If your issue is not resolved, please email to feedback@karavanly.com as soon as possible to allow us research your concern and deliver our response. We will not consider claims submitted 10 days after the dispute in question.
Images and Videos: Karavanly may take photos and videos during any trip for the purpose of marketing its products and services. Passengers who opt out of such activities are to advise our crew that they want to be excluded. Otherwise you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual and irrevocable license to use images and videos taken during your Karavanly trip for advertising and promotional purposes in any medium.
Social Media Channels: Karavanly does not claim any ownership rights in any materials acquired during your trip with us that you submit, post, or display on or through social media channels and/or other public domain. By submitting, posting or displaying any such materials on or through social media channels and/or other public domain, you hereby grant to us a worldwide, royalty-free, irrevocable, perpetual license to use, modify, publicly perform, publicly display, reproduce, and distribute such materials for our own promotional purposes. Such license does not give us the right to sell your materials or to distribute your materials to other parties to use for business purposes that result in direct financial gains. By submitting or posting such materials on social media channels and/or other public domain, you represent and warrant that you own those materials, or otherwise have the right to grant the license to us set forth in this section, and that your actions do not violate the privacy rights, publicity rights, copyright, contract rights or any other rights of any person. You agree to pay all royalties, fees, and any other monies owing to any person by reason of any such materials posted by you to or through social media channels and/or other public domain.
Published Information: We make every endeavor to ensure the accuracy of the content we provide, however details may vary in some cases. Our on-board crew and operation staff are at your disposal for clarification. Karavanly does not warrant that this Site is free of defects or errors, or that its content is accurate, adequate, complete, current or suitable for your intended purpose. We disclaim, to the extent permitted by law, all liability or responsibility to anyone for any direct or indirect loss of damage that may relate to, arise out of or result from any information, material, data, representation, omission, opinion or advice contained on this Site.
Privacy: You will only be contact by us with information directly related to your enquiry on and/or purchase of our product. These types of communications include product description, route details, booking confirmations, pre-departure information, service updates and feedback collection before, during or after your travel. You can opt out of communications from Karavanly by clicking the unsubscribe link in the email footer. However, if you do so, Karavanly will not be able to communicate with you about any trip updates and it will be your sole responsibility to communicate with Karavanly. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details.
Changes to Terms and Conditions: Karavanly may vary any of these Terms and Conditions at any time with or without notice.
Severance: If any part of these Terms and Conditions is held to be invalid, unenforceable or illegal for any reason, it shall be deemed to be amended by the addition or deletion of wording as appropriate to remove the invalid, unenforceable or illegal part, but otherwise to retain the provision and the other provisions of these Terms and Conditions to the maximum extent permissible under applicable law.
Breach of Contract: Karavanly shall not be liable for any breach of, or failure to perform its obligations under these Terms and Conditions where such breach or failure is caused by anything beyond Karavanly’s reasonable control. That includes, but not limited to, weather phenomena, governmental regulations and/or directions, strike, lockout, other industrial acts, hostility, act of terrorism, civil unrest, war, act of God and any other fortuitous events and force majeure.
